Google is going to launch its UPI based payment app before the WhatsApp in India. It will be announced by Google for next week. For this, Google has made the whole arrangement.
Today Jaitley launches Google’s payment app ‘TEZ’, and other mobile wallet will get tough competition
Search engine Google’s payment app will launch today. Launching is done by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in India. Google has prepared this by keeping the people of India in mind. With Google’s payment app, many wallets already running in the country can get a tough competition.
Companies that have already launched their mobile wallet app in the market include Hyac Messenger, Mobikwik, Freecharge, Oxygen, Citrus Pay, Phone Pay, Drinkoo, Itzachash, Geo Money and Ola Money.
Will be launched on 18th September
According to the official, Google will launch its payment app on September 18. Google has tied up with National Payment Corporation of India to link this app with the UPA. This app will be like Android Pay, which will be released on Google Play Store.
Whatsapps First Received Approval
After a long wait, the Messaging App Whatsapp gets the green signal from National Payment Corporation of India for Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payment. After getting approval from NPCI, Whatsapp is talking to State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, ICICI and Axis banks. Soon you will be able to make payments through Whatsapp. PCI’s Managing Director and CEO AP Jayate has confirmed to allow WhatsApp for UPI payments.
India Payment App
This is the first time NPCI has allowed any mobile app to have multi-bank partnership for payment. However, no information is available yet when this feature will be given in Whatsapp. Before this, True Caller and Hike are offering UPA Payment Service in India.
It is worth mentioning that the issue of giving UPI payment to Amazon and Uber apps is going on. Its testing is in the last stages. Google is also named in the list of companies paying the UPA.
