In our country election are organized time to time by election commission of India. Also presently there is announcement is made for election in five states. Voting process will begin from 4^th February till 8^th March in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur and Goa.  And for this you will required to have a voter ID card. What Correction Are Allowed

There are some times mistakes occur in voter ID card like name, address, and photo. These all can be corrected online. Also, if your address has been changed then also this process is online. Not only that if your voter id has black and white photograph then also you can change it to colored one.

When Voter ID Correction Take Place

You can make correction in your voter id card if your name is listed in voter list. If your name is not listed in voter list then you cannot correct your voter ID.  OR you are not allowed to make correction in other voter id card.

How To Log In

You have to visit the election commission website through http://www.nvsp.in/ .

Then visit the voter role icon and click on that.

When you click on the provided link, a page will open on your screen.

Then you have to visit the form 8 link directly provided there.

As you click on this link, a new page will open.

Correction Process In Detail

Then you will see new form on new page after hitting form 8 links. Here in this form you have to provide you’re all details like state name, assembly, you name, gender, DOB, parents name, complete house address, old id card number, your photo, along with valid proof that you have to upload with this form and mark the tick in front of the details where you want correction in your voter ID and in last provide your mobile number of e-mail id and submit the form. Do not make any mistake while filling this form. Where you need a change, fill those and make submission after completion.

Prepare Documents Scan Copy

Before you proceed toward correction, make sure that you have all of your document scanned copy with you. Because during correction you are required to upload valid proof for any change in voter id in soft copy. For voter id card you have to upload separate copy of address proof and ID proof. For that you can use passport,  10^th mark sheet, birth certificate, driving license, PAN card, aadhar card, bank passbook, phone/electricity/water/Gas bill, income tax form 16 etc., means from these documents you have to upload scan copy of only two.

Make Correction In Your Photo

If your voter id card has all correct details but there is some issue with your photo then you can easily make changes in that from home via online. For that you have to upload your colored photo graph in white back ground. You are not allowed to upload photo with other kind of background only white is allowed. Because that will be rejected by election commission.

After Submission For How Many Days Can I Make Changes In Details

 After submission of form you can make changes in that for 15 days. You can also check your voter id card status.

Get Voter ID Card With in One Month

After providing details, booth level officer (BLO) which is appointed by election commission will visit your home and documents you have uploaded will verify them with hard copy. Then after one month you will receive your voter id card through post.
