The use of SMS service will only be available to those taxpayers, whose name is same in UID and PAN card and means there will be no difference of any kind.
You have to send SMS on 567678 or 56161.
SMS should be written in this format —- UIDPAN <Space> <12 digit base number> <space> 10 digit PAN number. For e.g. like : UIDPAN 123456789001 ABCD44HF11
After doing this, the Income Tax Department will send a message to you on mobile that the PAN has been linked to your aadhaar number.
Link Aadhar With PAN Through Website
There are three website of liking PAN with Aadhaar card provided by the government. By using them you can also solve your purpose. At present, the service has been started on three web portal including www.incometaxindia.gov.in, www.tin-nsdl.com and www.utiitsl.com. By visiting these you can also able to complete seeding process.

Also cross check your date of birth and gender details.
