SC Says To Centre Government To Link All Mobile Number With Aadhaar Card

SC Told To Government That They Have To Register The Identity Details Of More Than 100 Crore Mobile Phone Subscribers With In Year

Supreme Court has told to Central Government to make a plan with policy within limit of a year to control the SIM card usage which is done in wrong way throughout the nation. And for that Government will have to prepare with some rules and regulation for it as per SC order. Court has also advised to Government to complete the registration process with complete identity like aadhaar card of Indian citizen who are having mobile phone (subscriber) with in a year.

Court has also added that this verification process of SIM card is also required because nowadays all king of banking transaction and related work also dependent on it. So it is necessary that everyone have their own valid SIM and no one can take advantages of misusing it in any way.

Now 100 Crore Mobile Phone Customers Will Be Identified With e-KYC

 Now mobile users have to provide their aadhar details before having new SIM connection and for old customers same will be necessary too. It is mentioned in the appeal that duplicate and unverified can become major threat to the whole nation. And terrorist and who is concern with them can make use of such SIM. We already have listened many attacks in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Jaipur. In such kind of cases duplicate SIM have been used. So it said in the appeal that aadhar must be necessary for having SIM card.

Pre-Paid Subscriber Needs To Fill Form

Supreme Court has advised to Centre Government that they will have to come up with such kind of rules and regulation so as the result no can able to make the misusage of SIM card with in a year.

SC also told the Government that they have to ensure the compulsion of such system where each prepaid mobile subscriber must have to submit a form before doing a new recharge.

A bench head with Chief justice JS Khehar told that it is not required to done it completely in single phase, it must be divided in sub-phases and also phone subscriber must have to give time period of six month to complete the verification process.

And the recharge process of the particular subscriber must be put on hold or say stopped who will not complete verification within described time limit.   

The PIL (पीआईएल) Filed By Lokniti Foundation

Chief justice bench has given above against the PIL filed by non-Government organization called lokniti in July 2016.

It is mentioned in the PIL that there are five crore prepaid mobile subscriber exist in the country who are using their cell phone without any completing verification.

And to stop the scam of SIM which are distributed without verification and used frequently by various people, Court involvement has been asked in this matter in PIL.

Insecurity Of Unverified Mobile Numbers Misuse

The bench has also shown and described their issue regarding potential threat of unverified mobile numbers.

Bench has also added that mobile subscriber has also provided time for cell number verification while going for the next recharge.

Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has said that central government has enough time to complete the verification process in one year.

During the Court assembly, Rohatgi confirm that it is not that much easy and simple task as shown to us because in our country more than 90 % mobile subscribers are using prepaid services.

Now the document verification process which is called KYC, aadhar is needed there for new mobile SIM connection as per Rohatgi.

Mobile Phone Users Will Be Traced With e-KYC

Court has also questioned the government regarding scrutiny system which they are going to implement to track the mobile customers identity. And this decision will be taken by the government. And will have to provide the report to the honorable Supreme Court.

So that those who are using SIM number on fake basis can be stooped up to an extent with this effort. And many people who continue to make their involvement in such kind of terrorist activities can be traced out.

So make your aadhaar available with you while going for new SIM card connection. And for the old numbers it is also required to link aadhar card with mobile number.
